Exams week is finally OVER!

Oh my god... I have just survived. This whole week has been one gigantic HEADACHE! I just experienced Periodical Test... Highschool style! Seriously though, after each test (fine not all) or even while taking the tests, I developed headaches and it was rather scary. Even while studying for the tests, I also had headaches. I'm not exaggerating one bit. Not all tests were that difficult, but I don't know, maybe I thought too much... lol!

And to add more headaches, there had to be SERIOUS drama this week. It's about our barkada. a person said something and she's out of the barkada (well, technically we're not really close to her and she's not really a part of it so it is not such a loss) then there are NEW fights... gad. It just had to be strategically placed on exam week!!!!!!!!! It is rather amusing to watch, but when a person starts crying, it is not as amusing. I will not go into details because things are too blurry and they should just fix the problem by themselves. I'm here to help, I am so not taking anyone's sides, they're all my friends anyway. So guys, fix it before my bday celebration, because I am inviting ALL of you and I don't care if you want to rip each others head off, you'll just have to suck it up. Come on guys, remember the good old days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please?!?!?! :D MIAMI VICE
The first one is Miami Vice. This review is going to be extremely short since, I slept through most of it. First of all, my mom forced me to watch it. Instead of going to study for the Chinese exams, I wasted my time watching this crap. Second of all, I HATE COLIN FARREL. And my mom knows that but STILL. Aargh... The story was weird and rather dumb, the acting was ok, but questionable. There were pointless random sex scenes that don't do the movie anything. They're not even entertaining... lol! And the cinematography completely and utterly SUCKS!!! But if you liked this, I'm sorry, this is just my humble opinion.. haha

LADY IN THE WATER

Now, this movie I REALLY liked. I knew it was gonna be good eversince I first watched the teaser trailer for this film and the words FILM BY M. NIGHT SHYAMALAN appeared, but I did not expect it to have such a huge effect on me. Ok, critics bashed this (all critics are really annoying, except me! ;D lol) This movie requires a specific taste, this is a very unusual film. I have never watched anything like it.
It is about a "Apartment building superintendent Cleveland Heep (Giamatti) rescues what he thinks is a young woman from the pool he maintains. When he discovers that she is actually a character from a bedtime story who is trying to make the journey back to her home, he works with his tenants to protect his new friend from the creatures that are determined to keep her in our world." (courtesy from IMDB)

Let's start with the acting. It was superb! Paul Giamatti has long deserved an Oscar (Oscars... tsk, ignorant fools) and this just cuts the cake. Bryce Dallas howard, who plays the lady named Story, is great. She nails the part and looks so hauntingly beautiful. And we can't forget the supporting cast!!! There were so many though, and they were all terrific and blended really well. The surprise was M. Night himself! He has always been known to make cameos in his movies, but in this movie it was not a mere cameo yet he played a very important part. Wow, he can act!!! hahaha! And his relationship with his sister is funny as hell! Reminds me of me and Nathan... The story is beautiful, shyamalan made it as a bed time story for his kids. The movie had lots of funny parts, emotional and touching parts, surprising and sometimes scary, lots of little twists (though no big twist in the end.. which was the twist! haha), beautiful cinematography (as usual!) and the trademark eeriness factor of M. Night, Lady in the Water is a beautiful and unusual film, like the Lady. Sure it was a flop, but so what? History will be the judge. M. Night Shyamalan is absolutely an amazing director and storyteller. After LITW, I watche the 6th sense for the first time and I also liked it (though I already knew the ending so it kind of ruined it for me). I like Signs and the Village too. But LITW is my absolute favorite work of his. And I really want him to do the movies of harry potter 6 and 7!!! He was actually supposed to do the first film but he didn't because he was doing another movie but he says he really regrets it and would LOVE to do the last films. HARRY POTTER and M. NIGHT SHYAMALAN = match made in movie heaven!!!!!!!

So that's all for now folks, until next time!!!! ANd remember, stay SEXY!!!! bwahahahaha! MWAH!
