This phrase is probably one of the most used phrases today. We always hear the tagalog equivalent "tao lang" whenever we make a mistake. Quite frankly, I hate that saying. Fine, we get it. We all make mistakes, it's part of human nature. Or is it? Christian Life Education has become on of my favorite subjects. And one of the reasons, basically the main reason, is because of the teacher and our adviser, Ms. Lo. Former ICAn so she knows what ICAns feel about CLE. She is a great teacher, every time we meet, she makes the lessons very interesting and as my friend Alessy said, "makes CLE feel like an acutal subject." lol. CLE is not really considered as an academic subject. Yet she makes us remember why we are being taught this subject in the first place. The last lesson was Temptation and the beggining of sin. (since we just ended our lesson on the Creation story) I did not want that topic to end, mainly because it was fun yet at the same time made me really think. She taught us that God created everything, so that all his creations are good in nature. Yet, aren't people born with original sin? Is it not human nature to sin? In the Bible, doesn't it say that no human being is perfect? Let's go back to the Creation story, where the first sin was done. Adam and Eve was created by the hands of God, so they're good, until the serpent tempts Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. She did and mankind was doomed from that point on. And when we were born, we already have the "original sin". So does that mean that when we were just introduced to the world and nothing more than little babies, we already commited a sin? Not really. So why do we sin? Because we are born into a sinful world. It is not in our nature to sin, yet we still do. Why? As I said, the world we live in now is a sinful world. Our good comes from within whereas sin comes from outside us that influence us to sin. Frankly, it is OUR choice whether to sin or not. So you may or may not choose to believe it, and I don't know if I do, but I guess it is relevant in some way. I mean, how can we be created in God's image and likeness if we do bad things? Well, Christians believe this, and if you're not Christian, well, I'm sorry if things are getting confusing. Knowing that, humans are imperfect. Yet we can try to better ourselves. The past few weeks, I have looked at all of my imperfections. I am proud, jealous, sobra sa arte, tend to lie alot and lazy. Because of knowing this, I get frustrated. How will I know if I am acting these things? I mean, it's part of my personality already. But I am desperately trying to better myself. Hopefuly, I find a way! Ate ALOT of food yesterday! Ate at Chilli's and didn't eat the usual baby back ribs, ate the bacon burger. And it's GOOOOD! We also ordered this dessert that is heaven. yummmm,... Watched RV and it was ok. I hate Jojo and the mom. Why do they always portray the teenage girl like that?! Seriously, she should get spanked. gaah! not all of us are like that... |
